Application Interoperability
The goal of business integration is to make disparate business systems and processes interoperable. WebSpan is designed to work with a diverse set of standards. You benefit from the platform’s ability to resolve complex integration challenges and facilitate true interoperability. All members of the integration community can send and receive the exact information they need to process transactions through their back-end systems in a frictionless manner.
Extend Existing Systems Across the WebSpan B2B Cloud
- No rip and replace
- No new software or hardware needed
- Mediates disparate data formats, applications, protocols and business rules
- Works with all major ERP, CRM and other applications, such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Salesforce.com, Dynamics, etc
- Extends existing “behind the firewall” integration solutions or middleware to the cloud and your extended enterprise community
Beyond Translation to True Interoperability
The traditional integration model primarily focuses on document translation. An example would be a purchase order being converted from a native ERP format to another data format such as EDI, and then transported over the Internet to a the destination third party. While many integration solutions today still focus on this basic translation service, we believe it is insufficient to meet the demands of today’s enterprise integration needs and business processes.
As a cloud-based integration platform with rich transformational technology, WebSpan provides basic to complex translation across protocols, formats, documents, applications and business processes. WebSpan goes far beyond “translation” to provide a sophisticated integration system that allows for complex business rules, security policies, data manipulation and validation, and other services.
One Connection to Your Integration Community
Through a single point of integration with the WebSpan platform, you can communicate with external partners regardless of the applications, standards and protocols they use to do business electronically. For example, Hubspan supports all procurement processes and applications – from SAP to Oracle to JD Edwards and more. Additionally, protocols such as XML, EDI and RosettaNet are all supported, including custom forms of XML. Rather than a point-to-point or application-to-application solution, WebSpan is an “any-to-any” platform for connections and integration. You can think of WebSpan as a “neutral” territory in this world of proprietary standards, as the platform works with just about everything.
