Office Depot, The World’s Largest Seller of Office Products, Utilizes the Hubspan Service

SEATTLE, Wash. (January 17, 2002) – Hubspan, a provider of real-time trading partner connectivity services, today announced that Office Depot (NYSE:ODP), the world’s largest seller of office products, is utilizing Hubspan to better service one of its largest customers, an $8 billion global leader in medical information and technology. This connection marks Office Depot’s first trading partner integration with an Oracle’s
iProcurement system.

The Hubspan service offers a fast, efficient way for companies such as Office Depot to integrate business processes and electronically exchange documents in real-time with their trading partners, regardless of the system and standards differences between them. By connecting with Hubspan, Office Depot is able to integrate its operations with its customer’s trading communities in just a few weeks. The most recent connection was completed in less than four weeks, a fraction of the time it takes most companies to build an individual point-to-point connection.
