Hubspan Joins Oasis Supporting the Advancement of Structured Information Standards
SEATTLE (May 24, 2001) – Hubspan, an e-business infrastructure provider, today
announced that it has joined Oasis, an organization focused on the Advancement of
Structured Information Standards. With more than 170 of the world’s leading technology
firms focused on using XML to solve business problems, Oasis is prompting participation
from industry, bringing together competitors and industry standards groups. Through
open discussion and debate, the OASIS process reconciles conflicting perspectives to
create XML implementations that are representative of the industry as a whole.
“It’s our instant doorway into accessing the most relevant information and latest
developments concerning Business-to-Business information standards,” said Haresh
Sangani, vice president of technology. “Being able to network with industry colleagues
and learn about emerging standards is a crucial part of our company’s success. We
applaud Oasis’ efforts in this area and plan to participate by sharing the expertise we’ve
acquired through implementations and collaborating with them on this initiative.”
Leveraging its expertise in streamlining and connecting trading partners, Hubspan’s
ability to provide low risk, high-value integration solutions echoes the consortium’s
