Congratulations on IBM’s Launch of Blueworks Live

It was one of those pilot projects that big companies do all the time, managed by a team of entrepreurially-minded folks within IBM that had a vision of business process modeling and management in the cloud. It was called Blueworks, and it was really a marketing-driven site focused on building community around BPM.
This test of business process as a service for IBM was successful, and today the company announced the launch of Blueworks Live — the next generation of BPM in the cloud that goes beyond community and some basic mapping templates to include elements of the BPM Blueprint solution. Today was IBM’s soft launch, with the full site going live on November 20th.
Blueworks Live maintains the community and collaboration element of the previous site but also adds two new components - a work area and a template library, leveraging the Blueprint technology. In a nutshell, Blueworks Live enables users to discover, map, document and collaborate on a business process. And it’s affordable at just $10 per seat per month. As one journalist wrote, this is “BPM for the rest of us”.
Hubspan worked with the Blueworks team previously to illustrate the intersection between BPM and B2B Integration. We hope to do more with the new Blueworks Live, so in the future, customers could model business processes on Blueworks Live and then extend those processes across the Hubspan integration platform to B2B communities.
Congrats to our friends at IBM (and a special shout out to Jasmine B!!) for disrupting the market with a cost-effective, cloud-based BPM solution. I truly believe this is a market first, and great to see IBM have the agility to get this done.

Thanks Margaret and thanks for being along for the ride on BPM BlueWorks.
We are really proud of what we’ve been able to achieve along partners like you who believed in the cloud and are now ready to graduate with us out of Beta and go (Blueworks) Live!

Thanks Margaret and the entire Hubspan team. BPM Blueworks would not have been as successful if it were not for partners like you. Now onto the next generation!
