Our business is headquartered in Seattle and we are open to the possibility of this position being based remotely.
The Position:
The Director of Business Development – Financial Services will be responsible for the development of Hubspan’s OEM and Referral partners in the financial services industry. Responsibilities include:
- Developing awareness and interest in Hubspan and our suite of solutions to support aggressive corporate growth targets in the financial service industry sector, particularly in the area of Payables Automation. Success will be measured by the ability to find, develop and negotiate strategic alliances and partnerships, the development of new distribution channels and related company financial results.
- Developing and executing the right portfolio of strategic and tactical partnership programs including identifying multi-tier channel strategies that result in incremental revenue and reduced cost of sale.
- Increased awareness resulting in Hubspan becoming a recognized solution across the potential partner marketplace. Additionally this role, together with the Marketing team, is accountable for generating consistent company awareness of the Hubspan solution and ensuring that each and every interaction with these audiences is positive, on-message, and consistent with company goals.
- In conjunction with the marketing team, the Director of Business Development identifies partner-specific solution offerings, packaging, and pricing. With the company’s P&L objectives and top-line growth targets as a backdrop, the portfolio of services is designed and created to support each partnership.
Additional Responsibilities
The position will be the primary partner interface responsible for:
- Alignment of joint business plans including marketing, sales and operations between Hubspan and its partners
- Development of revenue forecasts with Hubspan partners
- Quarterly partner business reviews with Hubspan partners
- Expansion of the Hubspan solution within existing Hubspan partners to drive net-new business
- Dissemination of Hubspan partner feedback across Hubspan departments for product and services enhancements.
Required Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in business development selling technology and business solutions to the financial services industry with proven experience in successfully managing long term client relationships. Additional qualifications include:
- Existing senior level relationships with market leaders in the financial services industry.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to establish strategic relationships with senior business and information technology stakeholders at partner organizations as well as internally at Hubspan.
- Proven professional partner development and strategic sales experience in financial services sector, with a strong track record of success (new business development, closed contracts with revenue, partner/customer relationship management).
- A consultative, business process sales approach, with the ability to conduct detailed business needs analysis and appropriate the correct solution in-line with a partner’s specific business requirement(s).
- Experience of selling cloud-based solutions at a strategic level.
- High-level working knowledge and aptitude for ERP/SaaS, Integration Middleware Software, Business Process Applications and Services, EDI, XML, and other integration technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- 50% travel required
